Specified Perils

Both business premises and contents can be insured against loss or damage caused by 'Specified Perils' or 'All Risks'. The difference is as follows.

Specified Perils All Risks
generally includes:
  • fire, flood,
  • storm, lightning, falling trees
  • burst pipes, leakage of fuel from heating installations
  • impact by road vehicles, aircraft
  • malicious damage, riot
  • explosions
  • earthquakes
typically includes the specified perils plus:
  • Accidental Damage which covers the insured items against being accidentally lost or damaged
