understanding financial jargon
The Fixed Assets of a business are all the assets that a company intends to keep for more than a year. This value is found in the Company's Accounts in the section marked Balance Sheet.
A Company's fixed assets can be divided up into Tangible Assets which are hard assets you can touch, such as plant machinery and buildings, and Intangible Assets which cover such items as patents, goodwill, brands and other long term 'soft' assets.
